Cancelled events that will break a streak of 75 years of continuous occurrence

I thought it would be interesting to look at cancelled events that have run virtually non-stop since WWII. The Rose Bowl parade in Pasadena has occurred every year since 1945. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has also occurred non-stop since WWII when it was cancelled due to a shortage of helium that was used for the war effort. Finally the New Years celebration in Times Square. In 1942 and 1943 they dimmed the lights due to a wartime blackout followed by a moment of silence and then chimes from sound trucks surrounding the Times Tower. They will be televising virtual events this year for both the Rose Bowl and Macy's. Times Square will have a limited amount of invited guest just so the artists will have a small crowd to sing to.

It's still amazing to think of all the history that has happened since WWII and none of it has impacted these events till COVID. The threat of nuclear war during the Cuban missile crisis, JFK shooting, 1968 with the killing of MLK and RFK, 9/11. The NBA hadn't even started. The NFL only had 10 teams and MLB had yet to be integrated in 1945.

I am still hearing a hell of a lot about Covid.

Crazy. To put it lightly. Summer came and went pretty damn fast this year.

It's OK to be a skeptic, but that doesn't change the narrative being sold which is also reflected in the financial markets

The wife is a biochemistry major that works in research. She has stated that any vaccine would take 7 years to truly understand the long term consequences and as healthy woman in her early 30s she would not take it.

Trying to state this as simply as possible without revealing much of my personal life. But yes, this is what i am going by. I am not a doctor nor claim to be.

Who is sitting in the big chair is not the motivation of taking or not taking.

I have stated previously. You can be irrational and a bit of a loon at times, but with this, you have a valid point.
